How to Install the MT5 Trade Copier Demo

1. Download the MT5 demo file.

2. Open MetaTrader 5 and select File → Open Data Folder.

3. Open MQL5 → Experts and place the demo EX5 file inside the Experts folder.

4. Restart MetaTrader 5 so the EA appears in the Navigator.

5. Repeat the installation in the second MT5 terminal that you will use for testing.

6. Attach Local Trade Copier EA MT5© to one chart in each terminal.

Set the first MT5 account to:

Account Mode: Transmitter

Set the second MT5 account to:

Account Mode: Receiver

and enter the Transmitter account number in Transmitter Account Number setting.

7. Enable Algo Trading in both MT5 terminals and open a small test trade on the Transmitter demo account.

If the corresponding trade appears on the Receiver, your basic MT5-to-MT5 demo setup is working.

How the 4-Hour Free Demo Works

The free version of Local Trade Copier EA MT5© is fully functional for up to 4 hours at a time on demo accounts.

After the demo period has expired, you can reset it from MetaTrader 5:

Tools → Global Variables → Ctrl+A → Delete

You can then restart the demo and continue testing.

Important: Deleting MetaTrader Global Variables removes Global Variables used by other EAs or systems in that terminal. Perform this reset only in a non-essential demo terminal where those variables are not needed. Do not use this procedure in an important live, prop-firm challenge/evaluation or other terminal containing Global Variables that you need to preserve.

What Can I Test with the Free Demo?

The free MT5 demo allows you to test the actual trade-copying workflow between MetaTrader 5 demo accounts, including:

MT5-to-MT5 trade synchronization · Multiple Receivers · Lot sizing and risk methods · Trade filters · Pending orders · TP/SL management · Symbol mapping · Receiver-specific copying and protection settings

This allows you to verify how Local Trade Copier EA MT5© works with your MT5 terminals, broker symbols and preferred Receiver configuration before purchasing.

Test with Different MT5 Brokers

You can also use the free demo to test trade copying between MT5 demo accounts from different brokers.

If both brokers use the same symbol name, no symbol suffix configuration is required:

EURUSD → EURUSD

If the Receiver broker uses a suffix, for example:

EURUSD → EURUSD.r

enter in the Receiver Local Trade Copier EA settings:

Suffix of the Receiver Account: .r

If the corresponding instruments have substantially different names, use the Special Symbol settings. For example:

US500 → SPX500

Special Symbol 1: US500,SPX500
